My career profile
After initial experience in industry, the health service and with the National Institute of Industrial Psychology, I have since 1990 worked independently and as an associate of several international consultancies and business schools specialising in executive coaching, leadership development, and change management. I specialise primarily in executive coaching, as well as small group facilitation. An accredited coach with Ashridge business school (an EMCC approved accreditation), the Centre for Creative Leadership (CCL) Brussels and the London Business School, I coach executives and professional specialists at all levels to CEO. I often work across cultures – including EMEA, America, Australia, Russia, China and other regions in the Far East. I am a Chartered Psychologist and a qualified Art Therapist, able to draw on a range of techniques including various psychometric tools and more intuitive processes.
I am passionate about coaching because it allows for a unique relationship and process to emerge in response to an individual’s needs and preferences. We can address both externally focused and inner development needs, enabling an authentic, integrated ‘personal best’ to be appreciated and acted upon. It can make a real difference for the individual, their people, and the wider organisation.
The assignment of which I am most proud is probably working with various ambassadors as they took on a new Head of Mission post often in difficult circumstances. However I love what I do – I am most proud of the numerous individuals who have testified to the difference our work together has made to them, both personally and in their increased capacity to find solutions to apparently intractable problems.
